I AM NOW CASTING FOR A CURRENTLY UNTITLED GOTHIC HORROR INDIE

Shooting later in the year in the Brighton area.

Details: The film will be a gothic-esque, black and white feature so the character can sound very much like she is from another time. A nice cut glass accent would be great but I'd also be happy to hear any ideas you have. Emily has not been outside for 22 years due to her chronic agoraphobia. She lives with her over bearing, terminally ill mother.

Emily (from her diary)

"I have a fear. A fear that one day soon, my mother, a woman who I know can be awfully controlling and more than a little cruel, will no longer be here. Her terrible illness will surely consume her before this year is out. I fear that this will leave me bereft. Not only for the loss of the woman, and of course the grief, but because she has such control over me and my life.

For my sins, I don't know even the slightest thing about what I would need to do to survive for more than just a few days without her presense. I am ashamed that I have been left so helpless by this woman. A woman I love and detest in equal measures."

Details: The character can sound very much like she is from another time. A nice cut glass accent would be great but I'd also be happy to hear any ideas you have. She can be stern but also a little odd! The character is terminally ill. She cares for her daughter Emily (24) who has chronic agoraphobia.

"I know that my time is running short now, and that death will soon grip my shoulder and walk me away. To where, I have no clue. I can feel the death in my bones now. The bones that are failing me so, and making everything I attempt so damned uncomfortable. Every movement a these days seems such an awful chore.

I fear that my upcoming demise will take my poor daughter Emily to a dark place. Darker than even she can imagine. I fear that my love for her, that I know she does not appreciate, may end up swallowing her whole."
